In 123 Turtles and Geckos, a bilingual counting book for kids, Yol?u artist Nyapanyapa Yunupi?u and her granddaughter Siena Mayutu Wurmarri Stubbs take young readers on a counting adventure across Country. Children will learn to count from one to five, spotting animals of Arnhem Land and learning Yol?u Matha, the language of the Yol?u people, along the way.

With a simple narrative and colourful illustrations celebrating Nyapanyapa’s distinctive works of art, this book will engage and delight babies and toddlers, as well as parents and carers.

This book is a collaboration between Buku-Larr?gay Mulka Centre and the National Gallery of Victoria.
