A giant, a child, a trip: here are the three elements of this story that could seem classic. And yet, this adventure that lasts only a day’s time will forever change the two heroes.
Marc Daniau has been working as an author and illustrator for 30 years. Contemplative and passionate about drawing, he puts his work into question at each project to find a form allowing the subject to breathe as much as the reader. He has published over forty books and has worked as a portraitist and posterist of his hometown theater.
Yvan Duque was born in France and spent his childhood between Polynesia and Reunion Island. He studied illustration at Pivaut School in Nante and among other things has worked as a festival director and decor designer for animation cinema. His first children’s book, Comme un Géant (Like a Giant), was released in 2017 (Thierry Magnier), followed by Petit Ivan at the same publisher, and in 2019 Ultralazer, a youth adventure comic (Delcourt).
