She began photographing artists of  color like LaToya Ruby Frazier and Mickalene  Thomas in 2012.\n\nTo give voice to her community Alba hosted  dinners, 25 so far, with themes like Balt imore,  Race and Identity (in honor of Freddy Gray) and  Racial Subjugation in Latin America.
