Production Controller
Location: Cremorne, VIC | Full-Time
We are seeking a highly organised Production Controller to join our team. Reporting to the Publishing Manager, you will oversee the production of illustrated books from final files through to print, ensuring exceptional quality and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate reprints, co-editions, second editions and run-outs.
- Manage production schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
- Oversee proofing, final file preparation and print-ready PDFs.
- Review covers, internal pages and F&G proofs before binding.
- Liaise with printers and suppliers to maintain quality standards and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate production records, files and digital assets.
- Support continuous improvement of production processes and workflows.
About You
- Minimum five years' experience in publishing, print production, pre-press or a related field.
- Qualification in Publishing, Graphic Design, Printing, Communications or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of print production, colour reproduction, PDF workflows and print specifications.
- Advanced Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience managing production workflows and supplier relationships.
- Four-colour print production experience essential.
- Experience in illustrated publishing is desirable.
