Praise for 12 Little Elves Visit Georgia

It's Christmas Eve, which means time to confirm all the children are asleep. This necessary task falls to a troupe of twelve elves. While little girls and boys dream of the 'Peach State' they live in, the elves enjoy traveling across the state. They visit Anna Ruby Falls; though they are tempted to jump in, a ranger's quick warning keeps them on the path. They see the state bird and visit Centennial Olympic Park. Next is Jekyll Island and beach fun, followed by a float on the Chattahoochee. The elves enjoy the state's magnificent aquarium, a sweet treat of Georgia peaches, and a stop by the Okefenokee Swamp. After drinks at the Coca-Cola museum, they check just one more house--a turn of the last page shows the elves' smiling faces gazing outwards at the reader. Child readers in Georgia will appreciate this celebration of the state's tourist sites, flora, and fauna. Brief, rhyming text and colorful, cartoon-like illustrations make this book a treat. A delightful book for parents, caregivers, or teachers to share with young children filled with anticipation during the holiday season.
