About the Authors

Alverne Ball is a writer whose work focuses on history, culture, and identity, with a particular emphasis on bringing underrepresented stories to a wider audience. He is the recipient of multiple industry honors, including the Glyph Rising Star Award, and holds an MFA in fiction writing. 
Stacey Robinson is an illustrator and visual artist whose work centers on the Black experience, using graphic storytelling to bring historical narratives to life with clarity and immediacy.
Their book Across the Tracks: Remembering Greenwood, Black Wall Street, and the Tulsa Race Massacre also features an essay by scholars Reynaldo Anderson and Colette Yellow Robe, which provides historical context and situates the story of Greenwood and the Tulsa Race Massacre within broader discussions of race, culture, and systemic inequality in the United States.
