About the Authors

Émilie Chazerand is a French author who writes mainly for young people, in line with her childhood dream. Before making a living from her books, she was a nurse. She practiced in gynecology, emergency, psychiatry, and even worked in pharmaceutical research. And she hated it! She loves the idea that these intense, difficult years serve her practice as an author now. She likes to think she’s still in the care field, but with words instead of infusions and humor instead of painkillers. Chazerand lives in Alsace, France. Amandine Piu was born near Lyon, France. She graduated from the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg, France. A pinch of poetry, a handful of color, and a big dose of humor are in her illustrator suitcase. She has illustrated several books for children, in addition to creating postcards, posters, and board games . . . a merry bazaar of poetry and humor. She lives in Alsace, France.
