About the Author
Initially a researcher at the Musée d'Art moderne de la Ville de Paris, art historian Brahim Alaoui was director of the museum of the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris where, between 1987 and 2007. He is the author of many written works and catalogues, notably on contemporary Arab artists.
