Christoph Niemann is an award-winning illustrator, graphic designer, and author whose work regularly graces the covers of The New Yorker, National Geographic, and The New York Times Magazine. Renowned for his uncanny ability to turn everyday objects into profound visual jokes, Niemann was the subject of the premiere episode of Netflix's documentary series Abstract: The Art of Design.
His celebrated blog and book Abstract City (later published as Sunday Sketching) cemented his reputation as one of the world's most inventive visual storytellers. Whether he is drawing with ink, animating virtual reality apps, or building metropolitan icons out of a handful of plastic toy bricks, Niemann's work is a masterclass in the power of visual economy.
