From rising star Tetsuya Tsutsui comes a three-volume horror-thriller which draws the reader into a tangled web of intrigue and lies, as two detectives trying to solve a string of mysterious deaths come face to face with a much larger conspiracy that threatens a manmade global pandemic
What do two Japanese detectives, a naked man on a city street, and a roundworm from Botswana all have in common? In Manhole, Ken Mizoguchi and Nao Inoue are a pair of investigators asking themselves this very question as they string together clues to solve a string of bloody and mysterious murders. But as the pieces come together, they begin to uncover the threat of a deadly biological agent which poses a threat of epidemic proportions.
The criminal responsible for the filariasis epidemic is finally unmasked. Behind this Machiavellian plan is a man wounded and full of resentment towards a society incapable of managing its monsters and unwilling to police the seeds of criminal impulses, even when their sprouting appears imminent... Will Mizoguchi and Inoue be able to prevent him from realizing the last part of his homicidal plan? The exhilarating conclusion to Tetsuya Tsutsui's biological thriller.
