The latest projects by WRJ, the premier interior design firm in the American
Mountain West, renowned for creating unique and beautiful retreats in harmony
with their spectacular surroundings
As beautifully shown in their first book, Natural Elegance, the cofounders of WRJ Design, Rush Jenkins and Klaus Baer, have a singular approach to mountain living. They are renowned for incorporating clean - lined, contemporary design into envelopes of rugged stone and natural wood. Now, in their second book, they lift this combination of the bespoke and the wild to new heights. It features 10 of their most recent projects, in such idyllic locales as Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Deer Valley, Utah, and Sun Valley, Idaho, including a rustic log cabin nestled near a stream, a modern compound overlooking the Tetons, and even a sophisticated pied-à-terre in Manhattan. Each project illustrates WRJ's signature blend of luxury, elegance, and deference to the surrounding environment.
With breathtaking photography by acclaimed photographers Roger Davies, Matthew Millman and Eric Piasecki, and an inspiring, informative text written with Architectural Digest contributing editor David Foxley, Natural Luxury is a must-have for design and nature lovers alike.
Rush Jenkins, Founding Partner, received a degree in landscape architecture from Cal Poly, attended Sotheby's Institute of Art in London, and became director of design at Sotheby's auction house in New York. Combining his passions for interior design and the American West, Rush moved to Jackson Hole, WY, where he and his partner, Klaus Baer, established WRJ Design.
Klaus Baer, Founding Partner, a graduate of the University of North Carolina, has channelled his experience managing production teams for investment banking firms into overseeing all operational aspects of WRJ.
David Foxley, a senior editor and design writer, has held executive editor roles at Air Mail and Architectural Digest, where he remains a regular contributor. His early career included positions at the New York Observer and Vanity Fair. He divides his time between New York City and Roxbury, CT.
