Yann Arthus-Bertrand is a world-renowned photographer celebrated for his striking aerial images of landscapes and cities around the globe. His international bestseller Earth from Above introduced millions of readers to the power of photography from a bird's-eye perspective, and his work continues to capture the beauty, scale, and complexity of the built and natural world.
John Tauranac is a writer, historian, and cartographer specializing in New York City's architecture and urban history. A native New Yorker, he has contributed to publications including The New York Times, New York Magazine, and Travel + Leisure, and is widely recognized for his work on the iconic 1979 New York City subway map as well as his authoritative street atlas Manhattan Block by Block.
