The new project by the leading figure of Italian contemporary art.
The new project by the leading figure of Italian contemporary art.
This book delves into the work of Nico Vascellari, with a special focus on Pastorale, a project that explores nature's regenerative power as a symbol of resilience. In a new site-specific installation, Vascellari reimagines the historic Sala delle Cariatidi at Milan's Palazzo Reale as a space for reflection, where history and imagination intertwine in a dialogue between nature and violence. The title, Pastorale, conjures an idyllic landscape, seemingly distant from the scars of the 1943 bombings, yet also suggests the hope of finding refuge from the brutality of history.
