About the Authors

Emma Kemp is a sports journalist with the Sydney Morning Herald who has covered Women's and Men's FIFA World Cups and other tournaments in a host of countries that call their beautiful game either football or soccer. She has seen Lionel Messi make magic, watched Sam Kerr score for fun and witnessed some other pretty special moments in history - both on the field and off. She is also an author, and recently helped Matildas goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold write her autobiography. Emma grew up in Kiama, moved to Sydney and then London, and now lives in Bowral with her partner, son, two dogs and two cats. She studied journalism at the University of Technology in Sydney and has a Master in International Relations from UNSW. When she grows up she would like to become a firefighter.
