Explore the life and art of Pierre-Auguste Renoir through 50 of his most important works.
The Works: Pierre-Auguste Renoir is an exquisite exploration of 50 masterpieces from the celebrated French painter whose work continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
Part of The Works art history series, this new volume presents 50 of Renoir’s most iconic artworks in a striking, high-design book format.
From the rich fluidity of his earlier works, including Bal du moulin de la Galette and his Dance triptych – most famously La danse à Bougival – to the warmth and sensuality of his "last great masterpiece," Les Baigneuses, this book showcases the beauty and complexity of Renoir’s style. Through detailed analyses of each artwork from acclaimed art historian Sally Grant, this is the ultimate introduction to Renoir.
Perfect for budding and seasoned art lovers, or anyone looking for a beautiful, bold volume or series to adorn their shelves or coffee table, this book is an essential tribute to an Impressionist master.
