About the Authors

Boni Ashburn is the bestselling author of numerous picture books, including I Had a Favorite Dress, The Fort That Jack Built, Hush, Little Dragon, and Over at the Castle. As the mother of twins, she brings firsthand experience and warmth to A Twin Is to Hug, a joyful celebration of the special bond between siblings. Boni lives in Michigan, where she works with children and books every day.
John Nez has illustrated more than sixty books for young readers, from picture books to folklore and historical tales. He studied at Parsons School of Design with legendary author-illustrator Maurice Sendak and is known for creating expressive, character-rich artwork filled with humor and heart. John lives in Seattle with his family.
