About the Author

Dodie Kazanjian is a writer specializing in art, fashion, and culture. She has been a contributing editor at Vogue since 1989 and is the founding director of Gallery Met, the contemporary art initiative at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City.
Kazanjian has written widely on artists and the art world and is the author or coauthor of several books, including Vogue: The Covers, Icons: The Absolutes of Style and Alex: The Life of Alexander Liberman. Her career has also included roles at The Washington Post and House & Garden, as well as service as deputy press secretary to First Lady Nancy Reagan and communications director at the National Endowment for the Arts. She lives in New York City.
