With the vibrant and inspiring work of Yayoi Kusama, this journal is the perfect canvas for creative thought.
The cover of this animated journal is Kusama's work Love is Calling—a kaleidoscopic environment of tentacle-like forms covered in the artist's characteristic polka dots. As endpapers, this journal pulls from Kusama's iconic painting series, My Eternal Soul. Fear of Youth Overwhelmed by the Spring Time of Life opens the endpapers while Far Away Country of Death closes the journal. Her quintessential polka dots, organic shapes, and optical environments display an unparalleled vitality that becomes hypnotic and self-referential, merging concepts of flatness and depth, presence and absence, and beauty and the sublime. These paintings serve as the perfect motivation for any artistic block or creative pursuit.
Also included in his journal is an inspiring quote about creativity from Kusama's poetry. Made in close collaboration with the artist, this journal is a one of a kind opportunity to "own" the work of the most fascinating artists of our time.

About the Author
Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama's (b. 1929) work has transcended two of the most important art movements of the second half of the twentieth century: pop art and minimalism. Her highly influential career spans paintings, performances, room-size presentations, outdoor sculptural installations, literary works, films, fashion, design, and interventions within existing architectural structures, which allude at once to microscopic and macroscopic universes.
