Whitechapel Gallery will display the highlights of this collection in four parts, from 2021-22.

The first display in the series with be selected by Norwegian artist Ida Ekblad. Choosing works from the Collection which thematically touch on night-time, she takes inspiration from the poem ‘Night Mail’ by W.H. Auden, which accompanied a 1936 documentary made by the General Post Office about the night mail train. The publication includes a conversation with the artist, plus full colour reproductions of works by Edvard Munch, Anna Eva Bergman, Louise Bourgeois, Martin Kippenberger and Theaster Gates.
