Alexander Petrosyan was born in 1965 in Lviv in Ukraine. He started capturing the street life of St Petersburg at age of 14 and has followed that pursuit since then and became a professional photographer in the year 2000. He is internationally regarded as one of the most original photographers in Russia and his absurd and compassionate images - full of dark humor and social criticism - have garnered him multiple awards.
